[First days are busy and new shinki doubly so, what with learning everything and getting settled. But if someone managed to get him to speak honestly, he'd have admitted he wasn't certain whether or not she actually would get back to him.]

Yes, just fine! I ended up running into my god later that day.. Or should I say goddess? She's super sweet, so I guess I ended up being pretty lucky!

Just as you deserve. I hope the process of being named wasn't too bad on you. Turning into a shuriken is one of the strangest things I can think of, and I'm pretty sure it would be even if I remembered more!

[ Yes, the experience was pretty weird, but that's what grabs Minako's attention more than talking about her own experiences. ]

A fuuma shuriken, to be precise. It's a very large one, able to be used as a personal weapon or even shield as well as a devastating throwing weapon.

My god's kind of bad with it, I'm sorry to say...

Well, I guess it is a very specific weapon.. Ninja use those, right? [ That's at least part of Minako's general knowledge. Thanks, TV. ]

If your god isn't one, then I'm sure they'd have to learn how to use you first! But I'm sure it'll get better and better with time!

We sure do! So I suppose it's only fitting that I take the shape of one.

Going off that theme, though -- as common as weapons are, I can't imagine you becoming one. [He doesn't suspect even in the slightest what truths lurk in her.] I'm guessing... a painting or something similar, and your power is to be so beautiful and vivacious it enthralls all who see it. (Of course, what your power *as a shinki* is, I couldn't guess!)

[Has he mentioned lately how much he enjoys knowing someone who actually likes the over-the-top flirting?]

[ Assuming Minako will subtly and gently wrangle out of him which temple he's from during the date there will be a present left for Edge. It's a few shells glued together with a pin on the back to look like some sort of brooch. Not very fancy, and most definitely showing signs of being handmade, but.. hey, that's where the love part comes in, right?

There's a note with it that reads "I know there's no improving good looks, but maybe you'll like wearing it anyway? I bet it'll look great on you, since anything would! Thank you for being like a prince charming on a white horse for a clueless new girl ♥♥♥ Merry Christmas! ♥" ]

I remembered something!!!

I'm not a queen or anything though, so I guess I've already lost on the impressiveness scale here.. But I promised I'd tell you the moment I remember something anyway, so here I am, clearly the world's most graceful loser!! How is it possible for someone as eternally good and beautiful for me to exist!! [ Of course she has to make something dramatic out of it for no reason at all..

(Him being a king is still just cool, okay.) ]

I may be a ninja, a king, and an all-around amazing guy, but I'm not Minako, so all I can do is struggle to be a very distant second-most-impressive overall! And clearly you exist because we need such an amazing girl to grace our presence and make our existences worthwhile!

[Birds of a feather. He's always happy to go over the top for her. And he even believes it all, a little, too! (Seriously, she's great.)]

Gonna swing it to me here, or should we meet up somewhere?

[He's also aware that Minako might be putting on a big show to hide how she feels. Memories aren't all good, after all, and he knows at least one or two bad things have happened to her...]

I think I should just tell you like this or your words might blow me away too much in person to get to it! [ Because she could definitely spend a while soaking in compliments and completely forgetting the point of why she came to him in the first place.

(And it's also definitely a slight coverup, since there's a part of the memory that feels too awkward to reveal to him and it'd be harder to hide in person. "Oh yeah, I think that maybe I got all upset when you confessed to me since I might have a boyfriend in the living world I totally forgot and still don't know much about!" Nope. No way. Not going there.

Especially since she's not even right about it to begin with, but sshh.) ]

It's just.. I remembered my special powers! Or rather, how to be able to use them!

[ It does take a little bit, but then she's sending over a photo. It's definitely very much a Minako selfie - the wink and playful expression is the same as always - but she's dressed very differently, with a glowing mark on her forehead and somehow almost seeming a little older. ]

[Edge's response takes a few minutes. Not in the least because he very literally needs to catch his breath.]

[Maybe that isn't what he's supposed to respond with. Maybe he should've tried to go over-the-top some more, or kid around with her. But instead she gets his honest, sincere reaction, devoid of any flirtations or foolery.]
